1. Wash hands

2. Wound cleaning

Wound debridement, rinse the wound with physiological saline, even if there is no running water, and clean all foreign objects and pollutants on the wound

3. Hemostasis and disinfection

It is said that there are still people using cooking oil, dust, and saliva to disinfect wounds!!!

The correct disinfection method: gently press the wound with a medical cotton ball until the bleeding stops, and then use iodine to wipe and disinfect. In addition to iodine, there are also alcohol (although it hurts a bit) and hydrogen peroxide, which have disinfectant effects

4. Apply adhesive tape

Apply the bandage, wait for the wound to dry slightly, remove the bandage, tear off the packaging, be careful not to touch the absorbent pad with your hands, cover the absorbent pad on the wound, gently press the adhesive tape on both sides to fix it

Precautions for using wound dressings

1. Pay attention to not sticking wound dressings for too long. Prolonged exposure to less breathable conditions can cause the wound and surrounding skin to turn white and soft, causing secondary bacterial infections. Normally, they should be replaced once a day
2. Prohibition of secondary use, wound dressings are disposable products
3. When replacing wound dressings, pay attention to the condition of the wound and disinfect it with iodine again. If there is redness, swelling, heat pain, or worsening swelling, it is recommended to seek medical attention in a timely manner
4. When applying wound dressings, it is not easy to tighten them too tightly to avoid affecting blood circulation
5. Be careful not to wet the wound dressing with water, which may cause wound infection
6. Band aids are only suitable for emergency treatment and temporary bandaging of superficial wounds such as small wounds, abrasions, and cuts. Not all wounds can be treated with band aids.
